The real issue is regular bowel movements. We want regular bowel movements so all waste is whisked out and not recirculating or kept in our bowels for too long.
Bowel movement is facilitated in diet by large enough consumption of raw fats: raw fertilized egg yolks, raw virgin olive oil, raw virgin coconut oil, raw fish fats, raw land animal fats, raw coconut meat, raw coconut milk, raw butter or even just unsalted anchor butter, or indian GHEE.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating… and for myself, this is true. I live on raw animal foods and raw ripe fruits (always balanced with raw fats). I poop every morning like clockwork after a fruit breakfast with either coconut meat or raw fertilized eggs. I’m 39.

For sure, doctors recommend high fiber diet but it’s wrong. Dr Oz, who is a hart surgeon advised people to get a low fat, high fibre diet. Dr Oz had colon cancer recently but it was discovered early. This just prove high fiber diet doesn’t work. I consume high fat diet. Extra virgin olive oil, hemp oil and sometimes coconut oil. All the oils are cold pressed so they are “raw”
I don’t eat a lot of meat, even raw meat since meat is incredible hard to digest. I do eat carbs, like wheat, however I eat some fruits and drink fresh vegetables juice.
Fiber ages the colon, if you want better digest you need to eat food with live enzymes. Without enzymes we would die.
I do want to phase out carbs eventually however I allergic or can’t tolerant that much seeds and nuts.

We eat a diet high in good quality fats, including coconut oil, butter etc. We have cooked meat with homemade bone broth/stock to aid digestion. We also have homemade yogurt and kefir. We are still constipated at times and I am horrified that my 4 year old seems to have a hemorrhoid starting. He does also eat vegetables and salad and a fair amount of nuts which I know are high in fibre. My inclination is to try adding some ripe fruit such as prunes etc but I am really confused with what I have read about fibre. I would appreciate any suggestions.
You should avoid fiber. Concentrate on raw fruit and raw fat. RAW FAT. That will solve your constipation. Get into the habit of eating raw fertilized eggs or at the minimum 4 tablespoons of vco
